observe as the ball starts up high
oh! but not high enough!

that circle on the dirt is where the ball hit, with lots of top-spin…

What is the Umpire doing?

What Happened?

The left-handed pitcher inherited runners on the corners.

He stared them down.

He gave them reason to worry.

The batter called time right when the pitcher pulled the trigger.

Once upon a time a second baseman got smoked in the face by a rightfielder, both attempting to make the ball go into their glove.

There was blood.

He got back to work.

Yaddi throws a 90mph strike from his knees to the same bloodied second baseman
Makes the play.
